Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.5
Lantern Hollow is a gentle thing. You wander a hand-drawn forest, lighting lanterns to push back the fog and uncover little vignettes about the people who lived there. There's no combat, no timer — just walking and noticing.
The puzzles are environmental and never cruel; most involve figuring out where a path connects or what a symbol on a stone means. I liked that it let me get lost without punishing me for it.
It's short, maybe four hours, but it's the kind of game I'll reinstall in a year just to feel calm again. Play it with headphones.
